Come meet some of the members.
We meet every Friday at Le
Barron café in Stockel for coffee around 11am. Afterwards some of us go out to lunch. The number of people who show up varies
depending on travel and commitments of our members. We can have as few as 4 and as many as 14
to show up.
If you would like to
join us this or any Friday, please feel free to stop by. Le Baron is in the Stockel
square across the street from the ING bank.
Stockel also has its market on Friday that
lasts until 1:00pm. It is an excellent market to shop for
fresh fruit and vegetables.
Other STUDS Information:
Activities:
We have a few
scheduled events, but for the most part activities are organized by members
on the spur of the moment. Many of
our activities consist of day trips, biking trips and evenings with our
significant others. We have a
devoted group of golfers who play every Monday morning and at times when
most sane people are weathering out a storm. We do have a formal Winter Ball that takes place in late January with our
spouses.
Dues:
STUDS members are
required to pay yearly dues of €25.
These dues go to help subsidize many of the activities listed
above. Payment of dues is not immediately
required until you get an opportunity to meet some of the guys and to find
out if STUDS is right for you.
SPOUSES Trailing Under Duress Successfully is an organization dedicated to helping
expatriates transition to life in Belgium. For 13
years members have provided invaluable feedback on living in Belgium, exploring Belgium history and culture and most importantly developing
lifelong friendships.
